Kaitheri County Polytechnic is registered and accredited by the Technical and Vocational Education and Training Authority (TVETA). In 2013, Kaitheri Youth Polytechnic was among the functions devolved to the county Government. It was then changed the name to Kaitheri County Polytechnic.
