Application to Join Kenya Institute of Mass Communication Procedure
Courses are advertised in the daily newspapers in the month of June. The students apply, then short listing and selection is done by August and students report for studies in September.

Entry Requirements for Diploma Courses
For KIMC examined diplomas a minimum of Grade C plain attained at the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Examination (KCSE) or equivalent is required. In addition, prospective applicants are expected to meet specific requirements for each of the courses offered.
For Kenya National Examination Council (KNEC) examined diploma a minimum of Grade C minus attained at the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Examination (KCSE) or equivalent is required. In addition, prospective applicants are expected to meet specific requirements for each of the courses as may be specified from time to time by the examining body.
