This is a list of all courses offered at KMTC Lugari campus and their fee structure. KMTC Lugari Campus, situated in Mautuma Sub-County, Lugari Constituency in Kakamega County, was established in 2014 through a community-led initiative supported by the KMTC Board of Directors.
In September 2016, the campus welcomed its first group of students, marking the beginning of its educational journey. Lugari Campus operates in two sites, namely the Mautuma Sub-County Hospital and the former District Commissioner’s Headquarters, providing students with diverse learning environments.

Below is a list of courses currently offered at KMTC Lugari Campus to its students. The courses are 5 in number comprising of diploma and certificate courses.

Requirements: Mean Grade C-, C- in English or Kiswahili, and D in Biology/ Biological Sciences. D- in Mathematics and D+ in any one of the following: – Physics/Physical Sciences, Chemistry, General Science, Computer Studies, agriculture, Home Science, Economics, Geography, Commerce, and Business Studies
Duration: 2 years
- Diploma in Clinical Medicine and Surgery
Requirements: Mean Grade C, C in English or Kiswahili, and C in Biology/ Biological Sciences, C- in Chemistry/Physical Sciences C- in any one of the following: Mathematics, Physics/Physical Sciences

- Diploma in Health Promotion
Requirements: KCSE Mean Grade of “C” (Plain). Mandatory subjects: “C-” (Minus) in English or Kiswahili “D” (Plus) in Biology or Biological Sciences. A minimum of “D” (plain) in any of the following: Mathematics, Chemistry, Home Science, Agriculture, Physics, or Physical Science.

- Diploma in Community Health Nursing
Requirements: Mean Grade C, C in English or Kiswahili and Biology/Biological Sciences. C- in any one of the following: Chemistry Physics/ Physical Science or Mathematics

The campus boasts various facilities to support students’ learning and practical training. These include a fully equipped computer lab with a capacity for 35 students, a well-equipped skills lab, a library, and an ample water supply to meet the needs of the campus community. As part of its plans, the campus aims to construct a modern administration block that will house classrooms and a library. Additionally, the procurement of a bus and utility vehicle is also planned to enhance campus operations.
In terms of student engagement and extracurricular activities, KMTC Lugari Campus offers several clubs and societies, including the Christian Union, Young Catholic Students, Seventh Day Adventists, Scouts, and Drama. These clubs provide students with opportunities for personal and spiritual growth. The campus also encourages sports participation, with athletic events such as volleyball, football, handball, javelin, shot put, discus, high jump, and long jump being organized.
