Courses Offered At KMTC Makindu Campus And Fee Structure

This article dwells on all courses offered at KMTC Makindu Campus and their fee structure. KMTC Makindu Campus, established in September 2015, is a result of the collaboration between the Government of Makueni County and the KMTC Board of Directors. During its early stages, Makindu Campus was housed at the Makindu Sub County Hospital Trauma Centre while waiting for the construction of its dedicated campus. In June 2016, The campus was officially commissioned by President Uhuru Kenyatta.

KMTC Makindu Campus offers several certificate and diploma courses in various medical fields. We’ve listed the courses below including their requirements and the time each one takes to complete.

  3. Diploma in Clinical Medicine and Surgery
  4. Diploma in Kenya Registered Community Health Nursing

  • Certificate in Medical Engineering

Requirements: Mean Grade C-, C- in English or Kiswahili, D in Mathematics, and D- in Physics/Physical Sciences. D in any one of the following: Chemistry, Biology/Biological Sciences, Electricity, Metal Work, Technical Drawing

Duration: 2 years

  • Certificate in Orthopedic Plaster

Requirements: Mean Grade C-, C- in English or Kiswahili and C- in Biology/ Biological Sciences D+ in any one of the following: Physics/ Physical Sciences, Mathematics, Chemistry, Woodwork, Metal Work, Technical Drawing, Home Science, Agriculture, Computer Studies

Duration: 2 years

  • Diploma in Clinical Medicine and Surgery

Requirements: Mean Grade C, C in English or Kiswahili, and C in Biology/ Biological Sciences, C- in Chemistry/Physical Sciences C- in any one of the following: Mathematics, Physics/Physical Sciences

Duration: 3 years

  • Diploma in Kenya Registered Community Health Nursing

Requirements: Mean Grade C, C in English or Kiswahili and Biology/Biological Sciences. C- in any one of the following: Chemistry Physics/ Physical Science or Mathematics

Duration: 3 years

  • Upgrading for Certificate in Orthopedic Plaster

Requirements: Certificate in Orthopaedics Plaster Technology/ Certificate in Orthopaedic Trauma Medicine

Duration: 2 years

  • Upgrading for Diploma in Orthopedic Trauma Medicine

Requirements: Certificate in Orthopedic Trauma Medicine, Certificate in Orthopaedics Plaster Technology

Duration: 1 year
