This article highlights all courses offered at KMTC Meru campus and their fee structure. KMTC Meru Campus is located in Meru County on the Embu-Maua road, one kilometre off Meru town, adjacent to Meru County Teaching and Referral Hospital road. The campus has been serving the community since its establishment in 1979.

Over the years, KMTC Meru Campus has undergone significant development and has introduced more market-oriented courses to meet the evolving demands. Below is a list of courses currently offered at the campus.

  1. Certificate in Medical Engineering Technology (CMET)
  2. Diploma in Kenya Registered Community Health Nursing (KRCHN)
  3. Diploma in Clinical Medicine and Surgery
  4. Diploma in Medical Laboratory Sciences
  5. Upgrading Diploma in Community Health Nursing (Distance Learning)
  6. Diploma in Community Oral Health
  7. Diploma in Pharmacy

 

  • Certificate in Medical Engineering Technology (CMET)

Requirements: Mean Grade C-, C- in English or Kiswahili, D in Mathematics, and D- in Physics/Physical Sciences. D in any one of the following: Chemistry, Biology/Biological Sciences, Electricity, Metal Work, Technical Drawing

Duration: 2 years

  • Diploma in Kenya Registered Community Health Nursing (KRCHN)

Requirements: Mean Grade C, C in English or Kiswahili and Biology/Biological Sciences. C- in any one of the following: Chemistry/ Physics/ Physical Science or Mathematics

Duration: 3 years

  • Diploma in Clinical Medicine and Surgery

Requirements: Mean Grade C, C in English or Kiswahili, and C in Biology/ Biological Sciences, C- in Chemistry/Physical Sciences C- in any one of the following: Mathematics, Physics/Physical Sciences

Duration: 3 years

  • Diploma in Medical Laboratory Sciences

Requirements: Mean Grade C, C in English or Kiswahili and Biology/Biological Sciences and Chemistry/Physical Sciences, C in any one of the following: – Physics/Physical Sciences, Mathematics

Duration: 3 years

  • Upgrading Diploma in Community Health Nursing (Distance Learning)

Requirements: Certificate in Community Health Nursing (KECN). Registration by the Nursing Council of Kenya 2 Years post-graduation experience

Duration: 2 years

  • Diploma in Community Oral Health

Requirements: Mean Grade C, C in English or Kiswahili and Biology/Biological Sciences C- in any two of the following: Physics/Physical Sciences, Chemistry, Mathematics

Duration: 3 years

  • Diploma in Pharmacy

Requirements: Mean Grade C, C in English or Kiswahili and Chemistry/Physical Science and Biology or Biological Sciences C in any one of the following: – Physics/Physical Sciences or Mathematics

Duration: 3 years

KMTC Meru Campus Fee Structure

KMTC has recently released the Fees Structure for the upcoming 2023-2024 academic year.  The structure is available for both self-sponsored students and government-sponsored students. Below are the details.
