Courses Offered At KMTC Migori Campus And Fee Structure

This is a list of all courses offered at KMTC Migori campus and their fee structure. KMTC Migori Campus was established in September 2013 through several partners; Migori County Government, Migori County Referral Hospital, the College of the Rockies in Canada (MAISHA Project), and several non-governmental organizations. It sits within Migori Level 5 County Referral Hospital in Migori town.

Courses Offered at KMTC Migori Campus

KMTC Migori Campus offers four courses. We have listed the courses below and their admission requirements.

  1. Certificate in Community Health Assistant
  2. Diploma in Clinical Medicine and Surgery
  3. Diploma in Kenya Registered Community Health Nursing (KRCHN)
  4. Diploma in Orthopaedic and Trauma Medicine

 

Diploma in Kenya Registered Community Health Nursing (KRCHN)

Requirements: Mean Grade C, C in English or Kiswahili and Biology/Biological Sciences. C- in any one of the following: Chemistry/ Physics/ Physical Science or Mathematics

Duration: 3 years

Diploma in Orthopaedic and Trauma Medicine

Requirements: Mean Grade C, C in English or Kiswahili and C in Biology/ Biological Sciences C- in any one of the following: Mathematics, Physics/Physical Sciences, Chemistry

Duration: 3 years

Diploma in Clinical Medicine and Surgery

Requirements: Mean Grade C, C in English or Kiswahili, and C in Biology/ Biological Sciences, C- in Chemistry/Physical Sciences C- in any one of the following: Mathematics, Physics/Physical Sciences

Duration: 3 years

  • Certificate in Community Health Assistant

Requirements: Mean Grade C-, C- in English or Kiswahili and Biology/Biological Sciences. D+ in any one of the following: – Physics/Physical Sciences, Chemistry, or Mathematics

Duration: 2 years

Migori County Referral Hospital is adjacent to the school and acts as the main clinical experience site. However, with the current student population, the campus also collaborates with various clinical experience sites. These sites include renowned healthcare institutions such as:

KMTC has recently released the Fees Structure for the upcoming 2023-2024 academic year.  The structure is available for both self-sponsored students and government-sponsored students. Below are the details.
