Courses Offered At KMTC Taveta Campus
Since it was established, KMTC Taveta has been keen on increasing its course list. So far it has added several courses available to its prospective students. Below is a list of courses currently offered at the school.
- Certificate in Community Health Assistants
- Certificate in Emergency Medical Technician
- Diploma in Community Health (3 years course)
- Short Course in Community Health and Development (a six-month course)
- Certificate in Community Health Assistants
Requirements: Mean Grade C-, D+ in English or Kiswahili, D in Biology/ Biological Sciences, D in any of the following: Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics/Physical Sciences, Agriculture, Home Science
Duration: 2 years
- Certificate in Emergency Medical Technician
Requirements: Mean Grade of C-
Duration: 1 year
- Diploma in Community Health
Requirements: KCSE Mean Grade of “C” (Plain). Mandatory subjects: “C-” (Minus) in English or Kiswahili “D” (Plus) in Biology or Biological Sciences. A minimum of “D” (plain) in any one of the following: Mathematics, Chemistry, Home Science, Agriculture, Physics, or Physical Science.
Duration: 3 years
- Short Course in Community Health and Development
Requirements: CHEWs working with County Governments, holders of health-related certificates or Diploma
Duration: 6 months

The primary health facility for student training is Moi Voi County Referral Hospital. In addition to this, students also gain clinical experience at the following facilities:

To facilitate effective teaching and learning, the campus provides modern classrooms, a well-equipped library with medical textbooks, staff offices, and a kitchen, as well as clean sanitary facilities with a constant water supply.
