Courses Offered At KMTC Wajir Campus And Fee Structure

This article highlights all courses offered at KMTC Wajir Campus and their fee structure.  Established in 2016, the KMTC Wajir campus provides medical training opportunities in Wajir County, eliminating the need for students to travel long distances to other towns across the country for similar training. The institute is located opposite Wajir Referral Hospital, along the airport highway in Wajir Town.

Courses Offered At KMTC Wajir Campus

KMTC Wajir currently offers 3 courses to its students as listed below. The campus however has plans of introducing other courses in the future.

  1. Diploma in Clinical Medicine and Surgery
  2. Certificate in Community Health Nursing
  3. Diploma in Kenya Registered Community Health Nursing (KRCHN)

Requirements: Mean Grade C, C in English or Kiswahili, and C in Biology/ Biological Sciences, C- in Chemistry/Physical Sciences C- in any one of the following: Mathematics, Physics/Physical Sciences

Duration: 3 years

  • Certificate in Community Health Nursing

Requirements: Mean Grade C-, C- in English or Kiswahili and Biology/Biological Sciences. D+ in any one of the following: – Physics/Physical Sciences, Chemistry, or Mathematics

Duration: 2 years

  • Diploma in Kenya Registered Community Health Nursing (KRCHN)

Requirements: Mean Grade C, C in English or Kiswahili and Biology/Biological Sciences. C- in any one of the following: Chemistry/ Physics/ Physical Science or Mathematics

Duration: 3 years

KMTC has recently released the Fees Structure for the upcoming 2023-2024 academic year.  The structure is available for both self-sponsored students and government-sponsored students. Below are the details.
