Course Requirements

The minimum entry requirements for the different courses at Mitunguu TTI are as follows:

  • Diploma courses: Minimum grade of C- (Minus & above)
  • Craft Certificate courses: Minimum grade of D+ (plus)
  • Artisan Certificate courses: Minimum grade of D- (Minus)

Mitunguu Technical Training Institute Fee Structure

The total fee for each academic year at Mitunguu TTI is Kshs. 56,420 for all courses.

However, applicants who apply through KUCCPS are eligible for a government subsidy of Kshs. 30,000 per year. Therefore, out of the total annual fees (Kshs. 56,420), they will only need to pay Kshs. 26,420, as the government subsidy covers the remaining Kshs. 30,000 which is distributed per term as follows:

  • Term 1: Kshs. 7,500
  • Term 2: Kshs. 7,500
  • Term 3: Kshs. 15,000

Self-sponsored students, on the other hand, are not eligible for the government capitation and are required to pay the full amount of Kshs. 56,420 per year.

For new students, you will be required to pay the following mandatory fees upon admission.

  • Application fee: Kshs. 500
  • Registration fee: Kshs. 300
  • Student’s ID card: Kshs. 250
  • Student welfare fee: Kshs. 400
  • Insurance fee: Kshs. 500
  • KUCCPS registration fee: Kshs. 1,500

To complete the payment of college fees, you can choose one of the following methods:

  1. Money Order: Submit your payment using a money order made payable to the institute.
  2. Banker’s Cheque: Provide a banker’s cheque made out to the institute for the total amount of the fees.
  3. Direct Deposit: Make a direct deposit to the institute’s collection account number 1169208630 at KCB Bank, Nkubu Branch.

How to Apply

Mitunguu TTI has three intakes per year which are in January, May, and September of each year.

To apply, choose a course and fill out an online application form or pick an application form from the Institute. You can also apply through the Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) via the KUCCPS portal.
