Courses Offered At St Elizabeth School Of Nursing Mukumu

This article focuses on the courses offered at St Elizabeth School of Nursing Mukumu. The school is a tertiary training institution owned by the Catholic Diocese of Kakamega.

Since its inception in 1960s, the school has had a good report on academic performance courtesy of the conducive hospital environment especially in the wards and maternity unit run by excellent midwives. 2. Nursing

(i). Kenya Registered Community Health Nurse (KRCHN)- Diploma

Requirements: Mean Grade of C (plain) in KCSE, English/Kiswahili & Biology C (plain) and either Physics/Mathematics/Chemistry C- (minus).

3. Social Sciences

(i). Diploma in Social Work and Community Development 

Requirement: Mean Grade of C- (minus) in KCSE.

(ii). Certificate in Social Work and Community Development

Requirement: Mean Grade of D+ in KCSE or Artisan Certificate in Social Work.

Duration: 2 years.

(iii). Diploma in Counselling Psychology

Requirement: Mean Grade of C- in KCSE or Certificate in Counselling Psychology.

(iv). Certificate in Counselling Psychology

Requirement: Mean Grade of D+ in KCSE or Artisan Certificate in Counselling Psychology.

(v). Diploma in Marriage and Family Therapy

Requirement: Mean Grade of C- (minus) in KCSE or Certificate in Counselling Psychology Level 5.
