In this article, we’ll list all courses offered at Wote Technical Training Institute. Wote Technical Training Institute started as a skills training centre established by Voluntary Service Overseas (VSO) in 1990. The TVET institution is located along Wote-Makindu Road, 3 kilometres from Wote town in Makueni County.
With the introduction of the TVET Act in 2013, the institute underwent registration under the act and subsequently adopted the name Wote Technical Training College.
The governance of Wote TTI is overseen by a Board of Governors appointed by the Cabinet Secretary of the Ministry of Education. Currently, the institute offers a comprehensive range of courses, including Diploma courses, Craft courses, Artisan courses, accounting professional courses, skills upgrading short courses, and CBET courses.

Course Requirements
Diploma Course
- KCSE Mean Grade: A minimum mean grade of C minus (C-) in the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) is required. Additionally, there may be specific subject requirements depending on the chosen program. Applications for Diploma courses can be submitted through KUCCPS.
- Alternatively, individuals who have completed a relevant Certificate course can apply for Diploma programs directly at their preferred institution.
Certificate Certificate Course
- KCSE Mean Grade: A minimum mean grade of D plain (D) in KCSE is necessary for admission. Applications for Certificate courses can also be made through KUCCPS.
How to Apply
To apply to Wote Technical Training Institute, please follow these steps:
- Visit the Wote TTI website and download the application form. Take your time to complete the form accurately, using BLOCK LETTERS.
- Submit the filled application form to the Registrar at Wote TTI. You have two options for submission: a. Deliver the form in person to the Registrar’s office at Wote TTI. b. Alternatively, you can send the form to the following address: Registrar – Wote Technical Training Institute P.O BOX 377 – 90300, Makueni
- If you prefer a digital submission, you can scan the filled application form and email it to registrar@wotetti.ac.ke.
- Remember to attach copies of the following documents along with the completed application form:
- National ID
- KCSE Certificate/Result Slip
- KCPE Certificate
- Secondary Leaving Certificate
- Birth Certificate
- 2 Coloured Passport-size photographs
- Additionally, include the deposit slip for the non-refundable application fee of Ksh 500. You can obtain the deposit slip by either depositing the fee in KCB Account Number 1105324559 or using Paybill No. 178495.
Alternatively, you can follow this method:
- Apply through the KUCCPS Students Portal. By doing so, you may qualify for government capitation fees of KSH. 30,000 per year, as well as HELB loans of up to Ksh. 40,000 per year.
- Once you receive a placement offer for your desired course at Wote TTI from KUCCPS, you can proceed to download your admission letter and joining instructions from the Wote TTI website.
Wote Technical Training Institute Fee Structure
The following is the latest fee structure for Wote TTI. Through the KUCCPS placement, the Government of Kenya pays a capitation of Kshs 30,000.00 per student per annum otherwise the TOTAL FEES is Kshs 56,420.00 per year.

- Hospitality & Institutional Management students: Ksh 3,000 per term.

- i) For Automotive Engineering students, Driving is mandatory in the second year: Ksh 11,500.

- All fees should be paid in full at the beginning of each term.
