Depression Treatment Centers In Kenya

In a recent article, we wrote about what depression is and its conspicuous symptoms. Well, depression is a mood disorder that causes a persistent feeling of sadness and general loss of interest. Many people suffering from depression usually suffer in silence since whoever they want to tell is the cause of depression or they generally think that their situation is incurable.

Depression is the greatest cause of around 7000 suicides each year in Kenya and that explains volumes why you should seek treatment for depression before things turn out for the worst. There are a few psychiatrists in the country and even an appointment to talk to one may be hard to come by. There are surging numbers of depression cases and the scarcity of psychiatrists need to be addressed.

Psychiatric hospitals and depression treatment centres, also known as mental hospitals, or asylums, are hospitals or wards specializing in the treatment of serious mental illness, such as depression, bipolar disorder, and schizophrenia.
