Ecopillar Sacco Membership Eligibility & Requirements

This article focuses on Ecopillar Sacco membership eligibility and requirements. Ecopillar Sacco was registered on 2nd June 1977 with a small membership of 163, drawn mainly from the teaching fraternity.

Over the years, the membership has increased owing to the benefit that the sacco has enabled members achieve in terms of improved standards of living, asset acquisition, school fees payment, financing development projects and economic empowerment of members.

With an asset base of 1.35 billion, Ecopillar Sacco is one of the largest deposit-taking Saccos in Kenya.

Ecopillar Sacco Membership Eligibility

Class A Members

Teachers (TSC employed).
All ministries (employees).
County governments.
OOP.
Members of the disciplined forces.

Class B Members

Ecopillar staff.
Civil servants.
State corporation employees.
Staff of sister organisations.
PTA.
BOM interns.

Class C Members

Business persons.
Traders.
Farmers.
Self-employed.

Ecopillar Sacco Membership Requirements

Fill in the membership application form. The form is available on the Sacco’s website or can be obtained from its offices.
No entrance fee.
Copy of National ID.
A passport size photograph.
Current payslip for members contributing through check off system.
Filled nominee form.
Make minimum monthly contribution of Kshs 2,000 or more.
Contribute Kshs 200 monthly to the welfare fund. The fund covers death of the principal members, spouse, children and biological parents.
A copy of KRA PIN certificate.
