In this article, we will have a look at the charges one incurs for using Fuliza. As highlighted before, Fuliza is an overdraft facility based on the Mpesa platform. It allows Mpesa customers to complete their transactions when they have insufficient funds in their accounts.
You need to be an Mpesa registered customer with an active Safaricom line to use the service. To opt into Fuliza, just dial *234# and select Fuliza M-PESA. The overdraft facility can be used to complete the following transactions; Lipa Na M-PESA: Buy goods and Paybill as well as Send money.

You will be charged a 1% access fee and a maintenance fee on the outstanding balance below. Normal Mpesa transaction charges apply.
