Functions Of The Prime Cabinet Secretary In Kenya
1. He assists the President and the Deputy President in the coordination and supervision of Government Ministries and State Departments.
2. In liaison with the Ministry responsible for Interior and National Administration, the Prime Cabinet Secretary oversees the implementation of National Government policies, programs and projects.
3. He chairs and coordinates the National Government legislative agenda across all ministries and state departments in consultation with and for transmission to the Party/Coalition Leaders in Parliament.
4. He chairs the Principal Secretaries’ Committees and supervises the technical monitoring and evaluation of Government policies, programs and projects.
5. He facilitates inter-ministerial coordination of cross-functional initiatives and programmes.
6. He heads the Government Delivery Unit- which is responsible for the implementation of government development projects across the country.
7. On top of that, the Prime Cabinet Secretary is mandated to perform any other functions that may be assigned by the President.
