This article focuses on Good Faith Sacco membership eligibility and requirements. Good Faith Sacco was initially started as a self-help group by 8 Christian brothers and sisters from Full Gospel Churches of Kenya Githirioni on 10th October 1996.
The pioneers were drawn together by a common vision of developing a Christian institution, where Christians could pull their resources together in order to save and eventually alleviate poverty so as to improve the quality of life for the members.
On 21st November 2001, the certificate of registration No 9709 was presented to the newly registered Sacco- Good Faith Sacco, by the District Co-operative Officer, Kiambu, in a ceremony held at F.G.C.E Githirioni Church.
By now, it is licensed by SASRA as a deposit-taking Sacco, with an asset base of more than 70 million and a membership of around 2,500.
Good Faith Sacco Membership Eligibility
Membership is open to all. That is farmers, business community, investment groups, pension and salaried persons.
Good Faith Sacco Membership Requirements
(i). Individual Membership
- Fill a membership application form.
- Copy of ID and KRA PIN certificate.
- Registration fee of Kshs 600.
(ii). Joint Membership
- Fill a membership application form.
- Copies of ID and KRA PIN certificate for both applicants.
- Registration fee of Kshs 600.
(iii). Group Membership
- Fill a group membership application form.
- Copies of ID and KRA PIN certificate of authorised signatories.
- Group minutes resolving to open an account with Good Faith Sacco.
- Group registration certificate.
- Registration fee of Kshs 600.
