Long queues at the Immigration department of Kenyans who line up for long hours to apply and collect their passports is now a thing of the past as the immigration department has introduced a booking system. Through this system, applicants will specify the date and time they wish to have their biometrics taken and the passport collection date.
This will save many applicants time that they could have otherwise spent on long queues. Those who had already made online applications will need to revisit the E-citizen portal and book their appointments.
This directive by the Immigration Department will exempt students, the sick, public officials who have assignments abroad and even business executives with urgent engagements. They will, however, be required to provide proof of the travel details.
Here is a step by step guide on how to book an appointment for E-passport application in Kenya.
