Koko currently offers two solutions; Koko cookers which are two burner cookers that use Koko fuel (denatured bio-ethanol). The cooker kit goes for Ksh 2,021. You will also get 2 free Koko canisters of fuel plus Kshs 100 to buy Koko fuel.
The fuel costs Kshs 77.83 per litre. Customers can also purchase fuel bundles of as low as Kshs 30.
Koko is currently available only in Nairobi and its greater environs. Plans are underway to expand to other parts of the country as soon as possible.
How to Buy a Koko Cooker Through Mpesa
There are two options one can use to purchase the Koko cooker. You can opt to make a one time payment or use the lipa mdogo mdogo plan.
(i). One Time Payment
- Go to Mpesa menu on your phone.
- Choose Lipa na Mpesa (Buy Goods).
- Use Till Number 556688.
- Enter the cooker amount Kshs 1,715.
- Enter your PIN and complete the order.
- You will receive a confirmation message from Koko and Mpesa once the transaction is successful.
(ii). Lipa Mdogo Mdogo
- Go to Mpesa menu.
- Choose Lipa na Mpesa (Buy Goods).
- Use Till Number 556688.
- Make daily/ weekly deposits.
- Complete payment of Kshs 1,715.
- You will receive a confirmation message from Koko confirming your purchase.
- Pick your brand new Koko smart 2 burner cooker from your nearest Koko point or find a Koko point near you.
How to Buy Koko Fuel Through Mpesa
- Go to Mpesa menu.
- Choose Lipa na Mpesa (Buy Goods).
- Enter Till Number 556688.
- Enter amount. You can purchase Koko fuel from as low as Kshs 30.
- Enter your PIN and finish the process.
- You will receive a confirmation message from Koko once the transaction has been processed.
