This is a step by step guide on how to enroll for Safaricom Jitambulishe. Jitambulishe is a service that allows Safaricom Prepaid, Individual Postpay and Hybrid customers to enroll their voice and use it to enjoy security and the convenience of accessing services such as get PUK, unlock Mpesa account, get Mpesa PIN/start key, set/reset/change Bonga PIN, check Mpesa balance, transfer Bonga points, bar/unbar and replace your Safaricom line.

You need to be a registered Safaricom customer with an active Safaricom line to enroll for the Jitambulishe service. The service is free of charge and is open to prepaid, postpaid and hybrid customers.

When you change the ownership of your line, the existing voice will be deleted and the new owner of the line will need to enrol their voice for Jitambulishe service.

How To Enroll For Jitambulishe Service

  • Dial 100/234/200.
  • Select the language of your choice, either English or Kiswahili.
  • Select option to enroll your voice.
  • Key in your National ID number and press #.
  • Repeat the phrase ‘At Safaricom my voice is my password or ‘Safaricom sauti yangu ndio kitambulisho changu’ three times.
  • Enter your Mpesa PIN to complete enrollment.

How To Stop Using Jitambulishe Service

It is possible to delete your voice or opt out of the service by simply following the steps below.

  • Dial 100/234 and select language.
  • Select the Jitambulishe service option.
  • Select the option to delete your voice password.
  • Repeat your passphrase, ‘At Safaricom my voice is my password’ or ‘Safaricom sauti yangu ndio kitambulisho changu’ to delete your voice password.

How To Re-enroll For Jitambulishe

It is possible to re-enroll your voice if you had already enrolled. Below are the steps.

  • Dial 100/234 and select language.
  • Select the Jitambulishe service option.
  • Select option to update your voice password.
  • Repeat your passphrase, ‘At Safaricom my voice is my password’ or ‘Safaricom sauti yangu ndio kitambulisho changu’ to update your voice password.
