This is a step-by-step guide on how to keep your Safaricom line active with Daima service. Daima is a service by Safaricom that enables customers to keep their lines active for a period of 6 months to 2 years without the need to top up. It aims at allowing subscribers to extend their line’s lifecycle for a duration of time under the available options.
The service is only available to individual prepay customers (exempted- Mpesa tills, corporates and postpay). A customer can only have one service subscription at a time.
Daima service seeks to address the challenge of inactive lines for customers who may be;
- Travelling or living abroad for long periods.
- Away for school.
- Away at police/army training.
- Having a change of ownership of line situation eg. due to loss of a loved one.
- In need of car tracking services.
- In possession of multiple lines that they wish to keep active.
Safaricom Daima Packages
- Kshs 200 for 6 months.
- Kshs 500 for 1 year.
- Kshs 1,000 for 2 years.
Each of the above options will give customers 20 minutes plus 20 SMS monthly during the entire subscription period. The monthly awarded resources expire after 30 days. The customer is also notified via SMS to renew or purchase a new subscription when the current one lapses.
How to Activate Safaricom Daima Service
1. Dial *100*4# and follow the prompts.
2. Via My Safaricom App or Safaricom website or call 100 for assistance.
Note:
- There is no refund if one deactivates the service before the due date or does a wrong subscription.
- When subscription ends, the line becomes inactive or can be disconnected for failure to top up.
How to Purchase Daima Service for Another Number
A customer can purchase Daima service for another number by using the steps below.
- Dial *100*4#.
- Choose Daima.
- Select buy for other number or option.
- You can also use My Safaricom App or Safaricom website.
