How To Pay NSSF For A Company Via Mpesa

This is a simple guide on how to pay NSSF contributions for a company via Mpesa. The National Social Security Fund (NSSF) was established in 1965 to provide basic financial security benefits to Kenyan upon retirement.

Every employer is required to register with the Fund. Any employer who fails to register with NSSF is liable to a fine not exceeding Kenya shillings fifty thousand. The pension contribution is 12% of the pensionable wages made up of two equal portions of 6% from the employee and 6% from the employer. The employee contribution is drawn directly from salary and wages while the employer’s contribution comes from the employer.
