This is a step by step guide on how to subscribe to Safaricom Lipa Mdogo Mdogo Service. This is a service that enables Safaricom subscribers to purchase devices of their choice through a flexible repayment plan that is extended for up to 12 months.

Safaricom Lipa Mdogo Mdogo Eligibility

To qualify for the service, one needs to meet the following requirements;

A favourable credit score done by Safaricom (based on a device financing credit score).
You need to be on the Safaricom network for a minimum of one year.
Be over 18 years of age and below 75 years.

How to Subscribe to Safaricom Lipa Mdogo Mdogo Service

1. Dial *544# from your device and selection the Lipa Mdogo Mdogo option.

2. Accept the terms and conditions to opt into the service.

3. You will receive an SMS informing you of your eligibility and the value of the device you can purchase under the service.

4. Proceed to select your device of choice and make a downpayment.

5. Go to any Safaricom Shop or authorised dealer near you where the staff of the shop/dealer will conduct a Know Your Customer (KYC) to verify your identity, after which the sale will be processed and the device issued.

6. Repayment can be done daily, weekly, partial or full payment.

7. Safaricom will communicate the loan balances through SMS with daily reminders as follows; 8:00 am, 12:00 noon and 5:00 pm.

8. On the fourth day of the repayment remaining outstanding, Safaricom will lock the device, limiting your use. You will need to clear the outstanding amount for the device to be unlocked.
