Known for her uniqueness and incredible personality , Janet Mbugua has not only been rated the best news anchors but also landed huge ambassadorial deals in the recent past. She still stands out to be among the highest paid news anchor in the country today.
Earlier this week word went round that the media personality had rendered her resignation letter to her boss due to undisclosed issues. Reliable sources now confirm that the screen siren is expected to leave Royal Media Services together with her co-anchor Hussein Mohamed.
Other Sources claim that Jeff Koinange was given a salary of KSh 2 million a month while other presenters like Janet Mbugua and Hussein Mohamed, who are very valuable to the station, are getting way lower than that. Janet Mbugua is said to be earning around KSh 500,000 a month and Mohamed takes home not more than 400K. Koinange’s contract is two years long, with even lesser responsibilities.
Rumors of Mbugua ditching the station, first suggested that she wanted to spend more time with family. Others sources later claimed that RMS wasn’t happy with her side hustles and instructed her to cut them off or leave the station.
