Few days after announcing that it will start direct flights to America, Kenya Airways has achieved yet another big milestone. The national career has now launched direct flights to Mauritius as part of its strategy to expand coverage across Africa.
According to a statement Kenya Airways, the service will operate four times a week – Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday. On Monday and Thursday flights will depart Nairobi at 11:45 am while on Wednesday and Saturday flights will depart Nairobi at 9:50 pm.
Speaking during the launch, Kenya Airways Group Managing Director and CEO Sebastian Mikosz said that the direct flights will make Mauritius more accessible which will lead to economic growth in both countries. The route will be operated by an Embraer E190, with 12 business class seats and 84 economy class seats. Direct operations will
start in June 2018.
