1. Kerio Valley National Reserve

The reserve was established in 1983 and is managed by the Kenya Wildlife Service. The reserve features beautiful sceneries, diverse species of birds and wildlife such as leopards, elephants, buffalos, yellow baboons, bushbucks, waterbucks and warthogs. It is open daily from 7.00 a.m to 5.00 p.m.

2. Rimoi National Reserve

It is an animal conservation reserve located approximately 30 kilometres from Iten town, along the Kabarnet- Eldoret road. The main attractions at the reserve include elephants, beautiful sceneries of Kerio Valley, impalas, monkeys, dik-dik, leopards, over 100 bird species, zebras and snakes.

3. Tambach Museum

The museum is located in Tambach town, about 42 kilometres from Eldoret town. It was established to safeguard the Tambach heritage site and the culture of the Keiyo and Marakwet people. It features an exhibition space for ethnographic and archaeological collections of Elgeyo Marakwet county.

4.Torok Waterfall

The impressive waterfall is located near Iten town. The waterfall is about 200 metres high. You can have a glimpse of the magnificent waterfall from the Kolol viewpoint.

5. Kapkurmoi Conservancy

The conservancy was established in 2008 by the local communities in Elgeyo Marakwet County. It is home to wildlife such as elephants, dik-dik, pangolin, snakes and different species of birds.

6. Kipteber Mountain

The mountain strategically sits on the border of Elgeyo Marakwet and West Pokot counties. You can explore the mountain that features bushlands and wildlife such as snakes, monkeys a diverse species of birds. It is a perfect hiking destination.

7. Elgeyo Escarpment

The spectacular escarpment is part of the western wall of the Rift Valley. The escarpment can best be viewed from the Kolol viewpoint or while paragliding. The escarpment rises more than 1, 830 metres above the Kerio Valley.

8. Kerio Valley

It sits at an elevation of 1,000 meters in the Great Rift valley. It strategically lies between Tugen Hills and the  Elgeyo Escarpment. It features archaeological activities and sites such as the elaborate irrigation systems that were constructed during early periods of history.

9. Cherangani Hills

The hills traverse three counties; West Pokot, Elgeyo Marakwet and Trans Nzoia. The ecosystem features beautiful subtropical indigenous forests with diverse wildlife and bird species. Several caves and hiking sites are located within the hills.

10. Kureswo Hot Spring

The hot spring is located in Keiyo South. The hot water stems out of hills and flows down into Kerio river. Beautiful sceneries such as hills, caves and a rock that changes colour are also located around the area.
