1. Mwea National Reserve
It is located in Mbeere district. The reserve’s ecosystem comprises of small hills with bushy vegetation and scattered trees which are breeding grounds for wild animals such as elephants, zebras, giraffes, bushbucks, buffalos, impalas, vervet monkeys, baboons, gazelles, warthogs and sykes. You can visit the reserve for game viewing and bird watching adventures.
2. Karue Hill
It is a scenic hill located off the Embu-Runyenjes Road, about 30 minutes drive from Embu town. It offers amazing opportunities for hiking, camping, picnicking and sightseeing of Embu County and its environs.
3. Nthenge Njeru Falls
