The Henley Passport Index is a ranking of all the passports of the world according to the number of countries their holders can travel to visa-free. The ranking is based on data from the International Air Transport Association (IATA), which maintains the world’s largest and most comprehensive database of travel information.
According to the report, Seychelles has the most powerful passport in Africa. Seychelles passport holders can travel visa-free and obtain a visa on arrival to 151 countries in the world. Mauritius has the second strongest passport in Africa with its holders having access to 148 countries, visa-free and visa on arrival. South Africa comes third on the list with its passport holders having visa-free and visa on arrival access to 101 countries. Kenyan passport holders can travel visa-free and obtain a visa on arrival to 72 countries, making it the 9th most powerful passport in Africa.
