Recently we highlighted top 5 Richest Counties in Kenya , according to the latest research conducted by Kenya National Bureau of Statistics (KNBS) in collaboration with Society for International Development (SID). Today, we will look at ten poorest counties in Kenya.

- Isiolo County
- West Pokot County
- Kwale County
- Samburu Count
- Tana River County
- Marsabit County
- Wajir County
- Mandera County
- Turkana County
The report also shows that Kenya’s overall poverty level has fallen for the first time in 10 years, though the drop is minimal.
For instance in Kiambu, two in 10 people live in absolute poverty and cannot afford Sh 2,913 per month.
In Turkana, 88 percent of the people are unable to afford Sh 1,562 per month.
