In this article, we look at all the accredited drone training schools in Kenya. The Kenya Civil Aviation Authority (KCCA) is the regulatory body mandated to monitor and oversee the operations of Unmanned Aircraft Systems, better known as drones.
KCCA is also designated to register and regulate Unmanned Aircraft Systems Training Organizations (UTO). As of 2024, there are 12 licensed drone training schools in Kenya. To get approval to set up an Unmanned Aircraft Systems Training Organization, you will have to part with Ksh 80,000 to KCCA. The renewal fee for the certificate is Ksh 50,000 per year.
