In this article, we’ll look at all the courses offered at KMTC Embu. This campus is located one kilometre from Embu town along the Embu-Meru highway behind Embu Level Five Hospital. The campus opened its doors in 1987 and it is among the biggest KMTC campuses in Kenya.

- Diploma in Clinical Medicine and Surgery
Requirements: Mean Grade C, C in English or Kiswahili, and C in Biology/ Biological Sciences, C- in Chemistry/Physical Sciences C- in any one of the following: Mathematics, Physics/Physical Sciences
Duration: 3 years
- Diploma in Community Health Nursing
Requirements: Mean Grade C, C in English or Kiswahili and Biology/Biological Sciences. C- in any one of the following: Chemistry or Physics/ Physical Science or Mathematics
Duration: 3 years
- Diploma in Community Health Nursing (Distance Learning)
Requirements: Certificate in Community Health Nursing (KECN). Registration by the Nursing Council of Kenya 2 Years post-graduation experience
Duration: 2 years
- Diploma in Environmental Health Sciences
Requirements: Mean Grade C, C in English or Kiswahili and Biology/Biological Sciences. C- in Mathematics and any one of the following: Physics/Physical Sciences, Chemistry
Duration: 3 years
- Diploma in Medical Laboratory Sciences
Requirements: Mean Grade C, C in English or Kiswahili and Biology/Biological
Sciences and Chemistry/Physical Sciences, C in any one of the following: – Physics/Physical Sciences, Mathematics
Duration: 3 years
- Higher Diploma in Clinical Medicine and Surgery
Requirements: Mean Grade C, C in English or Kiswahili, and C in Biology/ Biological Sciences, C- in Chemistry/Physical Sciences C- in any one of the following: Mathematics, Physics/Physical Sciences
Duration: 3 years
- Higher Diploma in Clinical Medicine and Surgery – Family Health
Requirements: Diploma in clinical medicine; Valid practicing license; and 2 year working experience
Duration: 2 years
- Higher Diploma in Family Health Nursing
Requirements: Diploma in Nursing or in Community, Health Nursing(KRN/KRCHN), Diploma in Nursing (KRN/KRM), and one-year Post Graduation experience
Duration: 24 months
- Higher Diploma in Pain Management
Requirements: Diploma in clinical medicine; Valid practicing license; and 2-year working experience
Duration: 2 years

KMTC Embu Campus benefits from its close proximity to Embu County Teaching and Referral Hospital, which offers students practical and relevant training for clinical experience. In addition to Embu County Teaching and Referral Hospital, the campus also takes its students to Kianjokoma, Kiritiri, and Kibugu health centers, as well as other local health facilities across the region for clinical experience.
