1.Oloolua Nature Trail

It is situated in Karen, approximately 20 kilometres from the city centre. It is an oasis of tranquillity and favourite destination for visitors seeking to do short hikes, camping and jogging. It features beautiful sceneries of indigenous trees, a cave, a waterfall and beautiful chirping birds.

2.Karura Forest

It is one of the largest urban gazetted forests in the world. It is a perfect spot for couples and families to enjoy forest walks, forest drives, cycling, bird watching, butterfly watching, running and picnicking. The forest features spectacular indigenous trees, beautiful caves, scenic waterfalls and picnic sites.

3.Nairobi National Park

It is actually the perfect spot for game drives, safari walks and picnics. It is the only wildlife park in the world that is close to the city. Key attractions at the park include; an animal orphanage, accommodating picnic sites, walking trails at hippo pools, major rhino sanctuary, different species of birds, different types of mammals and predators, campsites and an ivory burning site monument.

4.Nairobi Arboretum

It is situated approximately 3 kilometres from the city centre. It offers an awesome environment for picnics, events, birdwatching, marked walking trails, concerts, team building activities and weddings. It hosts over 300 indigenous tree species, different bird species, sykes and vervet monkeys.

5.Giraffe Centre

It is situated in a quiet and natural environment in Karen, whose biodiversity makes it home to the rare species of Rothschild giraffes, warthogs and different bird species. You can visit the centre and enjoy nature walks as you feed the giraffes.

6.GP Karting

It is one of Nairobi’s most thrilling venues located off Lang’ata Road. It is a wonderful place to chill with your friends and family and engage in go-kart driving and private racing, racing series and paintball tournaments.

7.Nairobi Mamba Village

It is a nature paradise located in the leafy suburb of Karen. It is an ideal location for picnics, family outings, weddings, private parties and team building activities. It is home to over 70 Nile crocodiles in a natural paradise spread over 30 acres. It also features a leisure park, an ostrich park, secluded picnic sites, bird watching trail and a botanical garden.

8.Nairobi National Museum

It offers a one-stop for visitors to sample Kenya’s rich heritage for the purposes of both leisure and education. It is located at the museum hill, approximately a 10 minutes drive from the city centre. Key attractions here include an art gallery, temporary exhibitions, botanical gardens and nature trail.

9.Karen Blixen Museum

It is located approximately 10 kilometres from the city centre. It is open to members of the public every day from 9.30 am to 6 pm. The museum is located in a serene environment surrounded by a tranquil garden and indigenous forest with splendid views of the Ngong Hills.

10.Uhuru Gardens

It is located along Lang’ata Road, about a 15 minutes drive from the city centre. It is Kenya’s largest memorial park that features two monuments commemorating Kenya’s independence and the sacred mugumo tree. It is also a recreational park ideal for events, parties and team building activities. It is open daily from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm
