This is a list of fast-growing trees in Kenya. Most of the fast-growing trees have brittle wood and relatively shallow roots. Such trees can earn one maximum profit within a short period. They can be good sources of firewood, fencing poles and for construction projects.

1. Bamboo

Bamboo is a fast-growing tree due to its unique rhizome-dependent system. Some species can grow more than one metre per day. Bamboo trees can be used for construction projects like fencing or firewood.

2. Moringa 

Moringa is a fast-growing and drought-resistant tree that reaches full maturity within a year. It can grow to a height of 19-12 metres. In Kenya, it is widely used to make herbal medicine.

3. Eucalyptus

Eucalyptus trees can grow to a height of 50m within a short period. They are good sources of timber, pulpwood and essential oils.

4. Jacaranda

Jacaranda grows fast in a tropical environment. It can grow to a height of 20 metres, gaining a height of about 10 feet per year.

5. Mango Trees

Mango trees are considered fast growers under ideal conditions. They can grow up to 6 feet within the first year. They can grow up to a height of 100 feet or even more depending on ecological conditions.

Pine trees are coniferous and evergreen trees that relatively grow fast. Most species grow to a height of 15-45 metres, attaining 2-3 feet per year.

Cypress trees are fast-growing trees that can reach a height of up to 20 metres. Bald cypress can attain a height of 2-3 feet per year.
