It was formed after a merger of Limuru Marketing Co-operative Union and Kiambu Dairy Marketing Union. The main aim of the merger was to facilitate savings and credit facilities for Dairy & Pyrethrum societies within Kiambu. Today, the Sacco boasts a membership of over 100,000 Members in five counties with an asset base of more than 5.72 billion.
