This is a list of licensed reinsurance brokers in Kenya for 2025. Reinsurance brokers act as intermediaries between insurance companies and reinsurance companies.
Reinsurance protects insurance companies from losses and financial disasters by transferring portions of their risk portfolios to reinsurance companies, thereby enhancing financial stability and underwriting capacity. In simple terms, reinsurance is a form of insurance purchased by insurance companies to mitigate risk.
Reinsurance brokers play a critical role by offering expert services tailored to the needs of insurers. Some of the services provided by reinsurance brokers include treaty evaluations, structuring and placement, dynamic reinsurance analysis, reinsurance program optimization, catastrophe modelling, reinsurance program design, capacity building, portfolio management, claims management, actuarial advisory, and rating advisory.
