This is a list of all the licensed seed companies in Kenya. The licensing of seed merchants is done by the Kenya Plant Health Inspectorate Service (KEPHIS). This is a state corporation that was established in October 1996 to offer inspectorate services on all matters related to plant health and quality control of agricultural inputs and produce.
One of the main functions of this body includes certification of the quality of seeds and fertilizers used in Kenya. Anyone intending to trade/import/export seeds must register with KEPHIS as a seed merchant. Below is a list of all licensed seed companies in Kenya.
