Bandari Maritime Academy was formerly known as Bandari College. It is a maritime training school mandated to academic and vocational skills and provide the maritime labour needed for sustainable growth of the blue economy.

2. Kenya School of Revenue Administration
The school offers Diploma and Certificate courses in maritime transport logistics and customs administration in its campuses located in Nairobi and Mombasa.

3. Kenya Railways Marine School
Kenya Railways Marine School is a constituent campus of the Railways Training Institute. It is situated at the Kisumu Port. It was established with the key mandate of being a premier marine training centre, thereby being a vital cog in the whole of Kenya’s sustainable blue economy.

4. Indian Ocean Maritime Training Centre
The centre provides professional training to international standards for seafarers of merchant ships, super yachts, the oil and gas industry as well as for the leisure boating industry.

5. Premier Training Institute
Premier Training Institute was established with the main purpose of undertaking training to develop human resource with requisite skills in maritime competency, hospitality and culinary arts.

6. Mount Kenya University
Mount Kenya University is one of the institutions allowed by Kenya Maritime Authority to offer Certificate and Diploma courses in maritime and transport logistics based on the curriculum developed by the authority. The school offers the courses at its Mombasa campus.

7. Kenya Methodist University (KEMU)
KEMU has been accredited to offer professional shipping courses at its Mombasa campus located at the former Oshwal Academy Building, Narok Road.

Technical University of Mombasa is also one of the institutions that have been accredited to offer maritime courses. The school offers courses in marine engineering, maritime management, shipping and logistics.
