This is a list of elected Members of County Assembly (MCAs) in Mombasa County as per the 2022 general election. Mombasa is the smallest county in Kenya, covering an approximate area of 212.5 square kilometres. The county is headed by Governor Abdullswamad Nassir. There are 30 wards in Mombasa county.
Functions Of MCAs
MCAs are representatives elected by registered voters to the county assembly. They represent electoral units called Wards. The main function of MCAs is to present the views and issues of the electorate to the county assembly for discussion.
MCAs make sure that the county government is delivering services to the people. This way, various projects are implemented. On top of that, they sit in county assembly sessions and committee meetings to discuss important matters of the county. This is where legislation takes place.

MCA Salaries in Kenya
According to a recent gazette notice by the Salaries and Remuneration Commission (SRC), an MCA earns a salary of Ksh 144,375 per month. This includes a basic salary of Ksh 86,625, a house allowance of Ksh 45,000 and a market adjustment of Ksh 12,750.
