Nephrology is a medical speciality that deals with the kidneys. This involves the study of normal kidney function, diseases affecting the kidney, treatment and preservation of kidney health. This ranges medication, renal replacement therapy and diets. A nephrologist is a medical physician who specializes in treatment and care for kidneys. There are many disorders associated with the kidney which include kidney stones, chronic renal failure, chronic kidney disease, glomerular diseases, mineral metabolism and the rest.
