Prosthetic makeup artists or Special makeup artists are specialists who mould and cast different techniques using prosthetic sculpting to create advanced cosmetic effects. Special makeup artists usually exhibit their skill in movies, songs, plays and even photo shoots.
They can create advanced cosmetic effects of broken hands, broken limbs, bleeding mouth or wound, rotting wound, make someone look older than they really are and they can generally do Halloween costumes to name just but a few.

Born in Kiambu, Kariuki once wanted to be a priest when he was a child but that never came to happen. Upon graduation, Fred interned at KBC for 3 months and was employed for 2 years but later quit.
