This is a list of top 10 major causes of death in Kenya according to a recent survey by the Kenya National Bureau of Statistics. Malaria, Pneumonia, and cancer still remain the leading causes of death in Kenya. For instance, Pneumonia alone killed 21,584 Kenyans in 2017 accounting for 22.0 per cent of the major causes of deaths in 2017. Malaria killed 17,553 Kenyans, while cancer killed 16,953 Kenyans in the past year.
