Henly’s passport index is finally out and we have already compiled a list of the top 100 most powerful passports in the world as of 2020. The Henley Passport Index is a ranking of all the passports of the world according to the number of countries their holders can travel to visa-free. The ranking is based on data from the International Air Transport Association (IATA), which maintains the world’s largest and most comprehensive database of travel information.
According to the report, Japan has the most powerful passport in the world. Their citizens can travel visa-free and obtain a visa on arrival to 191 countries in the world. Singapore has the second strongest passport in the world with its holders having access to 190 countries, visa-free and visa on arrival. Germany comes third on the list with its passport holders having visa-free and visa on arrival access to 189 countries.
Seychelles passport holders can travel visa-free and obtain a visa on arrival to 151 countries in the world, making it the most powerful passport in Africa. It ranks at number 29 in the whole world. Kenyan passport holders can travel visa-free and obtain a visa on arrival to 72 countries in the world making it the 72nd most powerful passport in the world.
