This is a list of Ukristo Na Ufanisi Sacco branches in Kenya. It is a Christian financial institution that was founded in 2001 by the then Anglican Bishop of the Diocese of My Kenya South, Rt Rev Timothy Mbuthia.
The Sacco was registered on 2nd November 2005 under the Cooperative Societies Act of the laws of Kenya, number 10541 and is currently licensed by SASRA. It is one of the largest deposit-taking Saccos in Kenya with an asset base of 1.74 billion. It has more than 39,000 members.
Membership
To become a member of the Sacco, one needs the following;
- A copy of their ID.
- One coloured passport photo.
- KRA PIN copy.
- Registration fee of Kshs 500.
- After joining the sacco, members are required to save a minimum of Kshs 1500 every month.
Products and Services
1. BOSA
This product enables members to make deposits and access credit services. It deals with groups, i.e group account, cell groups and own shares loan.
2. FOSA
This is a service that promotes one of the sacco’s priorities of bringing services close to members. The products include;
- Asset finance (land, motor vehicles and households).
- Business loan.
- Boda boda loans.
- School fees loan.
- Church loan.
- Kilimo loan.
- Savings accounts.
3. Other Products
- Mpesa services.
- Benevolent fund.
