MKU School of Computing & Informatics Fees Structure

This article focuses on the courses on courses offered at the Mount Kenya University School of Computing & Informatics and their fees structure. The MKU School of Computing & Informatics consists of three departments; Department of Information Technology, Department of Information Science and Knowledge Management, and the Department of Enterprise Computing.

a) Department of Information Technology

1. Bachelor of Science in Computer Science

Admission Requirements 

KCSE mean grade C+(plus) with a minimum of C (plain) in Mathematics/Physics/Computer Studies and English/Kiswahili or Diploma in a relevant field.

Regular: 8 semesters Ksh.50,550 per semester

Digital learning Ksh.42,000 per semester

2. Bachelor of Science in Information Technology

Admission Requirements 

KCSE mean grade C+(plus) with a minimum of C (plain) in Mathematics/Physics/Computer Studies and English/Kiswahili Or Diploma in the relevant field recognized by the Mount Kenya University Senate

Fees

Regular: 8 semesters Ksh.50,550 per semester

Digital learning Ksh.42,000 per semester

3. Master of Science in Information Technology (M.Sc. IT)

Admission Requirements 

Bachelor’s degree with Second Class Honours (Upper Division) in a computer-related course Or Equivalent qualification recognized by the Mount Kenya University Senate.

4 semesters Ksh59,550 per semester (Full time)

4. Master of Science in Cyber security

Admission Requirements 

Bachelor’s degree with Second Class Honours (Upper Division) in a computer-related course Or Equivalent qualification recognized by the Mount Kenya University Senate.

5. Diploma in Information Technology

Admission Requirements 

KCSE Mean Grade of C- (minus) with D+(plus) in Math/Physics/computer Studies and English/Kiswahili Or Relevant Certificate recognized by the Mount Kenya University Senate

6. Diploma in Computer Science

Admission Requirements

7. Diploma in Information Systems

Admission Requirements
