MKU School of Hospitality and Tourism Management Fees Structure

This is the fees structure of Mount Kenya University School of Hospitality, Travel and Tourism Management. The school offers nine courses in its two departments; Hospitality Management and Travel & Tourism Management.

a) Hospitality Management

1. Certificate in Food and Beverages

Admission Requirements 

K.C.S.E D+ (Plus)

1½ academic years kshs 29,550 per trimester

2. Certificate in Food Production

Admission Requirements 

K.C.S.E D+ (Plus)

Fees

1½ academic years kshs 29,550 per trimester.

2. Diploma in Culinary Arts

Admission Requirements 

KCSE Mean Grade of C- (minus)

Fees

2 academic years Kshs.36,000 per trimester (Weekend, Regular and Digital)

3. Diploma in Hospitality Management

Admission Requirements 

KCSE mean grade of C- (minus) or equivalent qualification recognized by the Mount Kenya University Senate Or Certificate in a related field.

Fees

2 academic years Kshs. 32,550 per trimester. (Weekend, Regular and Digital)

4. Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management (BSc. HM)

Admission Requirements 

KCSE with a mean grade of C+(plus) Or A Diploma in a relevant area recognized by the Mount Kenya University Senate

Fees

8 semesters Kshs. 57,550 per Semester. (Weekend, Regular and Digital)

5. Master of Science in Hospitality Management

Admission Requirements 

Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university with a minimum of Second Class Honours Upper Division Or Second Class Honours (Lower Division) with a minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience.

Fees

4 semesters (Weekend & Regular) Ksh.59,550 per semester

DIBel learning 6 sessions Kshs. 60,000 per session

Digital Ksh. 65, 000 per Semester

b) Travel & Tourism Management

1. Certificate in Travel and Tourism Operations

Admission Requirements 

K.C.S.E D+ (Plus)

Fees

1½ academic years, Kshs.29,550 per trimester.

2. Diploma in Travel and Tourism Management

Admission Requirements 

KCSE grade C- (minus) Or Certificate in Tourism Management from a recognized institution

Fees

2 academic years, Kshs.32,550 per trimester

3. Bachelor of Science in Travel and Tourism Management (BSc. TTM)

Admission Requirements 

KCSE grade of C+ (plus) Or A diploma in a relevant field.

Fees

8 semesters Ksh. 57,550 per semester
