KCSE C (Plus) and C (Plain) in Biology, Chemistry, English / Kiswahili and Physics / Mathematics/ Geography Or Diploma in Nutrition and Dietetics or Food Science and Nutrition from an institution or examining body recognized by the Mount Kenya University Senate and Kenya Nutrition and Dieticians Institute

2. Diploma in Nutrition and Dietetics
Admission Requirements
KCSE Certificate with a minimum of grade C- (Minus)plus D+(Plus) in English, Biology / Biological Sciences, Chemistry/ Physical sciences and D+ (Plus) in Physics/ Mathematics Or Holder of certificate in Nutrition and Dietetics or Food Science and Nutrition from an institution or examination body recognized by the university senate and The Kenya Nutritionists and Dieticians Institute.

Holder of Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition and Dietetics with a minimum of Second class honors upper division or Second Class Lower Division with a minimum of two years’ work experience.

5. Bachelor of Science in Food Science and Processing
Admission Requirements
KCSE certificate with a minimum of C+ (plus) and C+ (plus) in each of the following subjects: Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics/Physics or C+ (plus) in Biological Sciences/ Physical Sciences and Geography or any other of the group IV subjects in K.C.S.E or its equivalent.
Diploma in Food Science and Processing Technology from Mount Kenya University or from any other Institutions recognized by the Mount Kenya University Senate. Other Diploma holders in related fields, from accredited Diploma Institutions
