How To Hire Police Officers for Security in Kenya

Note: You must be cleared by your nearest security service provider before proceeding with this application.

  1. Log in to https://nps.ecitizen.go.ke.

  2. Go to Online Services and click on Hire of Police Security Services, then apply.

  3. You will be redirected to the application page.

  4. Read the instructions carefully, then proceed with the application.

  5. Download the Hire of Police form.

  6. You will be required to specify the kind of service you are looking for (escort or guarding services). This is also where you will choose the type of security service providers you want (DCI, GSU, KPS, or APS). You will be required to indicate whether you want armed or unarmed officers, as well as their ranks (Inspector, Sergeant, Senior Sergeant, Corporal, or Constable). You will also indicate the number of hours or days you intend to have the officers, and the location where the security services will be required.
  7. Once the form is filled out, scan it and upload it to continue with the application process

  8. Submit the form and pay the required eCitizen fees to complete the application.

  9. Officers will then be released for deployment upon proof of payment. The proof should be taken to your nearest security service provider.
