This article focuses on Skyline Sacco membership eligibility and requirements. Skyline Sacco was registered on 4th July 1989 and started its operations on 1st January 1990.
The Sacco was formerly known as Baringo Farmers Savings and Co-operative Society. It started offering front office services in 2004 to diversify the range of services and grow its membership.
Skyline Sacco is fully licensed by the Sacco Society Regulatory Authority (SASRA) as a deposit-taking Sacco. Currently, it has a membership of over 88,000 and offers various savings and loan products across its 12 branches located in different parts of the country.
With an asset base of 2.55 billion, it is one of the largest deposit-taking Saccos in Kenya.
Skyline Sacco Membership Eligibility
The Sacco’s membership is open to all including;
- Dairy farmers.
- Coffee farmers.
- Pyrethrum farmers.
- Business community.
- Salaried staff.
- Institutions.
- Micro-credit groups within Baringo, Uasin Gishu, Elgeyo Marakwet and Nakuru counties.
Skyline Sacco Membership Requirements
- One must be a registered member of a marketing society within the counties of Baringo, Uasin Gishu, Elgeyo Marakwet and Nakuru.
- Channel produce through the marketing society or KCC.
- An entrance fee of Kshs 200.
- Copy of KRA PIN certificate.
- One passport size photo.
- Copy of National ID.
- Contribute a minimum of Kshs 300 per month as deposit.
- Contribution to be consecutive for atleast 4 months for one to be eligible for a loan.
- The eligible loan is twice the amount of deposits for the first loan and three times for subsequent loans on merit.
