Stima DT Sacco Membership Eligibility & Requirements

This article focuses on Stima DT Sacco membership eligibility and requirements. Stima DT Sacco is one of the largest deposit taking Saccos in Kenya with an asset base of 53.78 billion.

The Sacco was established in 1974 to serve employees of the then East African Power & Lighting Company. Currently, it draws members from individuals in employment from all sectors, business persons, groups and corporates.

Stima Sacco’s objective was and has been to provide members with a haven for savings, avail credit to members and return impressive dividends.

Stima Sacco Membership Eligibility

Membership is open to all. The Sacco admits eligible individuals, groups or corporates for membership upon fulfilment of membership opening requirements.

Stima Sacco Membership Requirements

(i). Individual Membership

  • Complete membership application form.
  • Attach copy of National ID/Passport.
  • Recent passport size photograph.
  • Copy of KRA PIN certificate.
  • Registration fee of Kshs 500.
  • Share capital of Kshs 25,000.
  • Minimum monthly saving of Kshs 1,000.

(ii). Joint Membership

  • Complete membership application form.
  • Attach copy of National ID/ valid Kenyan passport for both applicants.
  • Attach coloured passport size photographs for both applicants.
  • Copy of KRA PIN certificate.
  • Registration fee of Kshs 500.
  • Share capital of Kshs 25,000.

(iii). Group Membership

This includes chamas and self-help groups of at least 4 members. One needs to;

  • Complete corporate membership application form.
  • Attach photocopies of registration certificate.
  • Minutes of the group’s meeting resolving to join Stima Sacco.
  • Constitution of the group.
  • Copies of ID card, KRA PIN certificate and photos of authorised signatories.
  • List of group members.
  • Registration fee of Kshs 500.
  • Share capital of Kshs 25,000.
  • Minimum monthly savings of Kshs 5,000.

(iv). Corporate Membership

  • Complete corporate membership application form.
  • Attach director’s resolution to open the account.
  • Copy of certificate of incorporation.
  • ID/ Passport copies of signatories.
  • Memorandum of articles of association.
  • Copy of KRA PIN.
  • Registration fee of Kshs 500.
  • Share capital of Kshs 50,000.
  • Minimum monthly savings of Kshs 10,000.
