This article focuses on Suluhu Sacco membership eligibility and requirements. Suluhu Sacco was registered under the Ministry of Co-operative Development and Marketing in 1995, under the name Mwingi Mwalimu Sacco Society.
The Sacco is regulated as a deposit-taking Sacco by the Sacco Society Regulatory Authority (SASRA), under Sacco Society Act 2008. With an asset base of 1.04 billion, it is one of the largest deposit-taking Saccos in Kenya.
Suluhu Sacco’s mission is to enhance resource mobilisation and to offer quality affordable products and services through efficient and prudent management, so as to maximise customers’ returns.

The Sacco draws its core membership from;

- TSC staff.
- KNUT employees.
- BBF staff.
- All government and county staff.
- Civil servants.
- Employees of NGOs.
- Private employees.
- Business people.
Suluhu Sacco Membership Requirements
- Fill a membership application form.
- Attach a copy of National ID card.
- Upon becoming a member, you shall be required to fill a nomination form specifying your next of kin.
- Once you have been enlisted as a member, you start accumulating your savings. This can be done via; check-off system, over the counter cash deposit, bank standing orders, Mpesa paybill number 737816.
