This is a list of products offered by The Kenyan Alliance Insurance and its branches in Kenya. It is one of the 56 licensed insurance companies in Kenya by the Insurance Regulatory Authority. The company was incorporated in 1979 and since then has been offering general, life and healthcare insurance.

Comprehensive: Covers the following

Third-Party Only
It covers third party liability (both property damage and death or injury to third party persons. It is a mandatory cover for all vehicles in Kenya.

Category c) Motor Commercial Institutional vehicles:
Feature: Includes school bus, school vans, etc. vehicles that belong to institutions

Feature: Includes tankers that are used to carry petrol and oil products

4. Motorcycle
Provides cover for motorcycle private use only.
Comprehensive: Covers the following
- Accidental damage
- Theft of the vehicle
- Passenger liability Excluding driver, insured and family member of the insured person
Third-party liability
- Theft of the vehicle
- Passenger liability Excluding driver, insured and family member of the insured person
- Third-party liability (both property and death or injury of persons out of motorcycle)

It covers third party liability (both property damage and death or injury to third party persons.
5. Domestic Package
This policy provides protection to your home and its contents. It is divided into three sections as listed below.
Section A: Building
It covers the dwelling house (if owned by the policyholder) against loss and damage by the perils listed below.
- Fire, lightning, thunderbolts, earthquakes, volcanic eruptions
- Storm or tempest, floods, accidental impact with the building
- Bursting or overflowing of water tanks, apparatus or pipes
- Loss or damage following the escape of water from storage or heating installations.
- Damage arising from theft or attempted theft
- Aircraft or other aerial device or any article dropped therefrom above the building
- Explosions
- Riots and strikes
- Falling trees
Section B: Contents
It covers household goods/contents against loss or damage to the same perils covered under Section A.
Section C: All Risks
As the name suggests, All Risks Insurance covers loss or damage to specific valuables from any cause that is not specifically excluded in the policy.
Common items insured under this section include mobile personal items such as jewelry, spectacles, cell phones, laptops, and photographic equipment. Household electronic equipment at the risk of accidental damage may also be insured under this section.
Section D: WIBA for Domestic Employees
This section of the policy covers the legal liability under the Work Injury Benefits Act (WIBA) against accidental death or bodily injury in the course of duty as well as medical and funeral expenses with respect to domestic workers such as watchmen, gardeners, house helps, etc.
Section E: Owner’s Liability
This section covers any legal liability that may arise from accidental bodily injury or damage to property in connection with the ownership of the residence by the insured or his household. Injury or damage to property could arise as a result of falling on slippery surfaces, attach by canines, burns from domestic gas explosions, etc.
Section F: Occupier’s Liability
This section covers any legal liability that may arise from accidental bodily injury or damage to property in connection with the occupation of the residence by the insured or his household. Such injuries or damage to property could arise as a result of falling on slippery surfaces, attach by canines, burns from domestic gas explosions, and any other causes.
6. Fidelity Guarantee
This policy offers protection against loss of money or goods from business premises, through dishonest/fraudulent acts of an employee.
7. Goods In Transit
It covers property against loss or damage while in transit from one destination to another or being stored during a journey.
8. Personal Accident
It covers accidental death or disablement to the insured. The policy can be given to individuals or groups of individuals.
- Student Personal Accident
Students’ personal accident cover to individual students on an industrial attachment or otherwise, schools and organized groups on very reasonable premium terms. - Group Personal Accident
Special Group personal insurance is essentially a personal accident cover, which includes work-related occupational illness and is thus Work Injury Benefits Act 2007 (WIBA) compliant. It operates exactly like a personal accident cover only that it deals with a group. It is usually arranged by the employer for the employees and is usually based on salary and is issued subject to the declaration of actual salaries.
9. All Risks Policy
It covers accidental loss, damage, or destruction from any loss, including fire, which is not specifically excluded.
10. WIBA Insurance
It provides indemnity to an employer against legal liability under the workmen injury Act (2007) in respect of assessments and awards for bodily injury to a workman due to accident or occupational diseases arising out of and in the course of the employment by the employer in respect of the employer’s business.
11. Fire and Perils
This policy provides indemnity against loss or damage to property caused by fire, lightning, and explosion.
12. Fire Industrial
This insurance cover normally incorporates Fire & Allied Perils, Burglary, Accidental damage, and business interruption.
13. Burglary
It offers compensation for loss and damage resulting from a burglary/ housebreaker attempt at your premises.
14. Money
This policy covers the loss of money belonging to the insured or for which he is legally responsible while on the premises specified (out of safe during business hours and in specified locked safes or strong rooms) outside business hours and while in transit to and from the bank.
15. Public Liability
This policy provides indemnity in respect of legal liability arising in connection with the participants’ business to pay damages as a result of accidental bodily injury or accidental loss of or damage to property of members of the public.
16. Employer’s Liability
It provides indemnity to the employer against legal liability for damages and claimants costs and expenses of litigation with respect to bodily injury by accident or occupational diseases caused by employees.
17. Professional Indemnity
It indemnifies a professional in respect of his/her legal liability towards third parties for injury, loss, or damage arising from his/her own professional negligence or that of his/her employees.
18. Machinery Breakdown
It provides cover against unforeseen and sudden physical loss or damage to the insured machinery resulting from:
- Physical explosion
- Malicious acts
- Negligence, human error, lack of skill
- Faulty design
- Defective material, bad workmanship
19. Erection All Risks
It covers all types of risks involved in the erection of machinery, plant & steel structures of any kind.
b) Life Insurance Products
Individual Life Insurance Products
1.Education Provider Plan
It is designed as a protection and savings tool to provide funds to pay for your child’s education expenses.
2. Planned Income Provider
This is an Anticipated Endowment policy with unique features where part of the sum assured is paid at certain intervals during the term of the policy to meet the short term financial goals and the full sum assured together with accrued bonuses at maturity to meet long term financial goals.
3. Term Assurance Cover
The policy provides life cover for a specific term, which can be either renewable or non-renewable. The Kenyan Alliance term assurance runs for 5 years and is renewable thereafter for a further 5 years.
This policy covers an Employee in the event of the death of the Employee during service with the Employer.
This is a Loan Protection policy that provides cover to a Financier for the amount of loan outstanding from year to year. If death occurs before repayment of the full loan the policy pays the amount outstanding to the Financier.
3. Group Morgage Life Assurance
This is a loan protection product, a subset of Credit Life, that caters specifically to mortgage loans. The Policy provides cover to a Financier for the amount of loan outstanding from year to year. If death occurs before repayment of the full loan the policy pays the amount outstanding to the Financier.
4. Group Last Expense
The policy provides for benefits to the dependents of a deceased member to cater for burial expenses.
